| چکیده : | Andrea Fischer-Tahir's Ph.D. theis examines the development of (collective) resistance in Iraqi Kurdistan from 1975 to 2000. Until 1991, resistance is primarily a reaction to the authoritarian tyranny of the Iraqi regime. With the formation of a self-governing Kurdish enclave in northern Iraq after the Second Gulf War, it became the largest center of resistance against Saddam Hussein's regime. Fischer-Tahir is concerned with the representation of resistance from the perspective of simple actors, which she asks using methods of oral history and biography research. In this way, the author enables a differentiated insight into the Iraqi-Kurdish society of today, which is all the more necessary in view of some of the journalistic 'rapid shots' motivated by the current political debate about Iraq and a possible third Gulf War |
