| چکیده : | This is an excellent monograph of Kurdish women. During her four-month stay in Kurdish homes, Hansen, with the aid of an interpreter, collected data on almost every phase of women's lives. Hansen argues that Kurdish women do not constitute a homogeneous group and she delineates four subgroups; village aristocrats, peasant women, educated urban women, and uneducated urban women. In her study, Hansen includes the analysis of the latent and negative functions of Kurdish woman's activities and of psychological factors, thus challenging the previous writers' ethnocentric and male view on the Kurdish woman's status. This monograph contains comprehensive data on the material surroundings of the Kurdish woman such as dwellings, clothing, food, domestic implements, and on daily routines, life cycle, child care, and their religious activities | لینک ثابت رکورد: | ../opac/index.php?lvl=record_display&id=21494 | زبان مدرک : | English زبان اصلی : English |
